The Plan My Land Operation application allows users to quickly map a project site, identify sensitive areas, determine operational characteristics of mapped soils, calculate area and distances, and receive BMP recommendations based on the hydrology, soils, and topography of the mapped area. This exercise was designed to help users become familiar with the Plan My Land Operation application.

Before we begin, let’s go over a couple of things that might help with naviagting this course.

    • The application is located on the TFS website. Links are provided throughout as necessary. It may be helpful to open the link in another tab as you move through the course. Simply right click on the link, then select Open in New Tab.
    • Images are used throughout this course so you have an idea of what you are working with and information from them may be needed to complete the quiz. Mousing over the images will zoom in on them. You can also make the images larger by right-clicking on them and they will open in another tab.
